Primary Care Professional Fee E/M Medical Coding Specialist

We are hiring now and have an immediate need for a Medical Coding Specialist with Profee E/M, and MIPS expertise. The position will be employee status (per diem) with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

This position will provide high quality primary care E/M coding. Coder will be responsible for reviewing charts and identifying appropriate CPT; Dx; HCPCS; Modifiers; ICD10 codes. Work will be completed virtually and must be of high quality.

  • Must have at least 3 years of Professional Fee and Evaluation and Management leveling experience
  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Specialty coding
  • Must have CPT; Dx; HCPCS; Modifiers; ICD10 coding experience
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with MIPS and CGS guidelines

Qualifications

  • Must be AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCS certified
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with pro-fee and E/M hospital coding
    • Preferred experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery
    • Must have CPT; Dx; HCPCS; Modifiers; ICD10 coding experience
    • Two years experience with MIPS and CGS guidelines
  • Ability to code accurately and maintain a quality score of 95% or greater
  • Position will be required to pass baseline testing
  • Comfort working with technology to accomplish position responsibilities (MS Office, Skype, Internet)
  • Must provide own PC with a Windows 10 Professional Operating System and have access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection
  • Individual must be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week when needed, this is a back up position
